Terry Howard Opening

Almost since the moment he was born on January 15, 1954, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Terry Howard knew he wanted to be an artist. He excelled in grade-school art classes and participated in many art contests at his high school in Columbus, Wis. It was here that Howard discovered his passion for creating portraits. His mother still holds many examples of his early work. Howard later studied art at the university level under Malcolm Chalmers in Chattanooga, Tenn., as well as Alan Collins and Greg Isaacson in Berrien Springs, Mich. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to study masterpieces in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, St. Louis, New York, London, Paris, Geneva, and other great cities around the world. Today, as Howard continues to challenge himself and grow artistically, he enjoys creating detailed renderings of masterpieces and talking with the people he meets through his work as a portrait artist.
