The Chestnut Center for the Arts seeks entries for our first annual Tell Tale Arts: A Vision of the Macabre juried exhibition celebrating the spooky, the creepy, the ghastly and the whimsical aspects of “All Hallows Eve”. Artists of all ages are welcome to submit any 2D and 3D media type by September 25th. Entries should be appropriate for PG-13 audiences.
Copy the “entry form” and fill out the required fields. Submit up to five images: All entries, regardless of media type, must be sent as jpgs with a file size no larger 3MB. All entries require a non-refundable $16.74 ($15 + Eventbrite services fee of $1.74). Applicants can submit their entry fee by visiting the exhibitions tab on chestnutarts.org under Tell Tale Arts: A Vision of Macabre. Click “application fee” button). An email receipt will be sent once application materials are received. Also include a recent artist statement with your application.

Selected artwork will be on display from October 9-31. The Artist Reception will be held October 28 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Accepted artists will be contacted by September 29th by email. Artwork needs to be delivered to Chestnut Center for the Arts main office (208 South Chestnut Avenue, Marshfield, WI 54449) by October 5th before 4 p.m. The Artists’ Reception will be held on the evening of Saturday, October 28th, in conjunction with Chestnut Center for the Arts’ annual Halloween costume party: “The Bone Shakin’ Bash” (Accepted artists will receive two complimentary tickets). The winner of “Best in Show” will be awarded a solo exhibition in the Chestnut Center for the Arts Main Gallery for the 2018 exhibition season.
